How to Use Our Reed Diffusers

How to Use Our Reed Diffusers

There’s something truly peaceful about walking into a room that smells like home — a gentle fragrance that greets you with comfort and calm. At King & Country Candle Co., our hand-poured reed diffusers are designed to fill your home with continuous, faith-inspired fragrance — no flame required.

Whether it’s your living room, kitchen, or quiet prayer corner, here’s how to make the most of your diffuser and enjoy every drop of its lasting scent.

1) Choose the Perfect Spot

Place your diffuser in a space where air can circulate gently — like a hallway, living room, or bathroom shelf.
Avoid direct sunlight, strong drafts, or placing it near vents or fans, as too much airflow can cause the fragrance to evaporate more quickly.

Think of your diffuser as a quiet, steady light — it doesn’t need attention to make its presence known; it simply blesses the space it’s in.

2) Insert Your Reeds

Start by removing the small seal or stopper from the diffuser bottle, then carefully insert the reeds (start with 4-5) into the oil.
Allow them to absorb the fragrance for a few hours, then flip them over to release that first burst of scent into your space.

💡 Pro Tip: Use all the reeds provided for a stronger scent, or just a few for a softer, more subtle fragrance. The more reeds you use, the quicker you go through the base.

3) Flip Your Reeds (Optional)

Every 7–10 days, flip the reeds to refresh your fragrance.
This helps the scent stay strong and even throughout the life of your diffuser.
Be sure to wipe up any oil drips and wash your hands afterward — diffuser oil is potent!

4) Replace Oil & Reeds When Needed

When the oil is nearly gone (usually after 2–3 months), it’s time to refill your diffuser or replace it with a new one. Always start with fresh reeds, since old ones become saturated and less effective over time.

We offer a variety of fragrances — from the uplifting notes of Morning Mercies to the peaceful balance of Living Water — each crafted to bring light and serenity to your home.

5) Safety & Stewardship

Our diffusers are flame-free and simple to use, but care is still important:

Keep away from children and pets.

Avoid placing directly on painted or varnished surfaces (use a coaster or tray).

Store your diffuser oil in a cool, dry place when not in use.

A little care goes a long way in keeping your diffuser working beautifully — and your home smelling divine.

Final Thoughts

Reed diffusers are more than fragrance; they’re a reflection of peace and hospitality — a way to make your space feel truly welcoming.
Just as candles bring light, diffusers fill your home with an invisible reminder of grace, warmth, and tranquility.

“For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ.”
