Our Products

What goes into every piece

What are King & Country candles made of?

Every candle is hand-poured in small batches in Woodstock, Georgia, using 100% soy wax, 100% natural cotton wicks, and premium phthalate-free fragrance oils. Simple, quality ingredients for a clean, even burn and a scent that fills the room.

How long do your candles burn?

Our 7.5 oz candles burn for 40+ hours with proper care. Many scents also come in a 3.5 oz size, perfect for trying a new fragrance, tucking into a gift basket, or scenting a smaller space. Our candle care tips will help you get every hour out of yours.

Are your candles clean-burning and phthalate-free?

Yes. We pair soy wax with natural cotton wicks and premium phthalate-free fragrance oils for a cleaner, steady burn. Keeping your wick trimmed to ¼ inch helps it burn its best.

Do you offer unscented candles?

Select candles in our Faith Collection, including Faith, Love and Peace, are offered unscented, so you can enjoy the look and the message without fragrance.

What are your wax melts made of?

Our wax melts are hand-poured from a coconut and soy wax blend with premium phthalate-free fragrance oils. Each clamshell holds about 2.5 oz of wax that breaks into easy cubes, so you can use one or two at a time and change scents as often as you like.

What do you offer besides candles?

Alongside our soy candles, we hand-craft wax melts, reed diffusers, room and linen sprays, car air fresheners, and lotions and soaps. You'll also find faith-inspired accessories like our Tap to Pray wristbands, plus wick trimmers, snuffers and melt warmers to care for your collection.

Where are your products made?

Right here in the USA. Our candles and wax melts are hand-poured in small batches in Woodstock, Georgia, by our family. Working in small batches lets us check every piece for quality before it reaches your home.

What makes your Faith Collection special?

Each Faith Collection fragrance is paired with a verse of Scripture, like Faith (2 Corinthians 5:7) with bergamot, patchouli and sandalwood, or Peace (Philippians 4:6–7) with eucalyptus, mint and lavender. They make a meaningful gift for prayer partners, pastors and loved ones, and a quiet companion for your own devotional time.

Candle Care

For the cleanest burn and the longest life

How should I burn my candle the first time?

Let the first burn go until the melted wax reaches the edges of the jar, usually 2 to 3 hours. Soy wax has a memory, and a full melt pool on day one prevents tunneling and keeps every burn after it even.

How often should I trim the wick?

Trim your cotton wick to about ¼ inch before every burn. A trimmed wick gives a calm, steady flame and helps prevent soot on the glass. Our wick trimmer makes it easy, even deep in the jar.

How long can I burn my candle at one time?

We recommend no more than 4 hours at a time. Then extinguish it, let it cool completely, trim the wick, and relight. A candle snuffer or wick dipper puts out the flame without smoke.

Why is my candle tunneling?

Tunneling happens when a candle is blown out before the melt pool reaches the edges. To help correct it, burn long enough for the wax to melt all the way across, and keep your candle away from fans, vents and drafts that pull the flame to one side.

Is the white coating on my candle normal?

Yes. A light white “frosting” on the surface or sides is a natural characteristic of real soy wax, especially with temperature changes. It doesn't affect the scent or the burn.

When should I stop burning my candle?

Stop when about ½ inch of wax remains in the bottom, since burning lower can overheat the glass. Once it's finished, clean the jar with warm, soapy water and give it a second life as a planter, pen cup or keepsake.

Wax Melt Care

Flameless fragrance, done right

How do I use wax melts?

Place one or two cubes in the dish of an electric or tea light wax warmer. As the wax melts, the fragrance fills the room. When the scent fades, let the wax cool, pop it out, and add fresh cubes. Our Ceramic Sunflower Wax Melt Warmer is a lovely place to start.

How many cubes should I use?

Start with one or two cubes. One is usually plenty for a small warmer, a bathroom or an office, and two fill a larger living space. Only add enough wax to cover the bottom of the dish, and never fill it past the rim.

How long does a wax melt last?

One or two cubes give you about 6 to 9 hours of fragrance. When the scent fades, the wax is done giving fragrance even though it still melts, so it's time to swap in fresh cubes. A full 2.5 oz clamshell gives you several of these sessions.

How do I change scents and clean my warmer?

Turn the warmer off and let the wax harden completely. Then pop the disc out with your fingers or a spoon. Placing the dish in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes makes it release easily. For a quick change while the wax is still soft and warm (warmer off), soak it up with a few cotton balls. Wipe the dish clean with a paper towel before adding a new scent.

Can I mix scents?

Yes, and it's one of the best parts of wax melts. Try one cube of a fruity scent with one cube of something warm, like vanilla or spice, to create your own blend. Start with fresh cubes of each so neither scent overpowers the other.

Dangers & Don'ts

Keep your home safe while you enjoy the glow

Any candle safety tips?

Always burn candles within sight, on a level, heat-safe surface, away from children, pets, curtains and anything that can catch fire. Never move a lit candle or one with liquid wax, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

What should I never do with a lit candle?

  • Don't leave a burning candle unattended or burn it while you sleep.
  • Don't burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Don't place it near curtains, bedding, books, paper, or in the path of fans, vents and open windows.
  • Don't use water to put it out. Hot wax can splatter and the glass can crack. Use a snuffer or wick dipper instead.
  • Don't move or touch the jar while it's lit or the wax is liquid. The glass gets hot.
  • Don't burn it down past the last ½ inch of wax.
  • Don't let matches, wick trimmings or debris sit in the wax.
  • Don't burn candles closer than 3 inches apart.

What should I avoid with wax melts and warmers?

  • Never pour melted wax down a drain. It hardens and clogs pipes.
  • Don't move or carry a warmer while the wax is melted.
  • Don't add water, oils or anything else to the wax dish.
  • Don't leave a warmer on unattended or overnight. With a tea light warmer, treat it like any open flame.
  • Don't melt wax directly on a stove, in a microwave or over an open flame.
  • Don't overfill the dish, and don't use a warmer with a cracked dish or damaged cord.

Are candles and wax melts safe around children and pets?

Keep lit candles, warmers and wax melts out of reach of children and pets at all times. Our wax melts smell like treats and can look like candy, so store them sealed and up high. Wax melts are not edible. If any wax is swallowed, call your doctor, your vet, or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.

Some pets, especially birds, are sensitive to fragrance. Use candles and melts in a well-ventilated room, and give pets a way to leave the room if they seem bothered.

What should I do if hot wax spills or touches my skin?

If hot wax touches your skin, run the area under cool water right away, then gently peel the wax off once it has cooled. Seek medical care for any serious burn.

For spills on fabric or surfaces, let the wax harden, then scrape away as much as you can. Lay a paper towel over what's left and press with an iron on low heat to lift the rest into the towel.
